At DogStar we offer both private lessons and group agility classes for all levels from beginners through the Masters level and above. Private lessons and classes are available weekly at DogStar Farm in High Springs, Florida.

Private lessons give you and your pup one on one attention (or share with a friend for a semi-private lesson experience) and are all about working on the skills you need to work on. Agility can be a pretty high-intensity sport, if you get becomes overly-excited when around other dogs private lessons can be a great place to start.

Our group classes work on a drop-in system which means students can attend any class (of the appropriate level) that has availability. Students must pre-register and pay online to reserve their spots. Read about each level of classes below.

If you are new to DogStar's agility program you must first be approved to register for a class. For teams new to agility this will be an initial thirty minute private lesson. Please contact Bridget to get started.

If you start in a beginner tract (Agility for Fun or Agility for Beginners - Foundation Skills) you will remain in that class until given instructor approval to move up to the next level. Every team will be on a different timeline and we always let the dogs tell us when they are ready to move to the next level. Our goal is to create happy, confident dogs, humans that understand positive reinforcement training skills, and a team that is learning and having fun.

Throughout the year we offer workshops on many topics, open practice sessions, agility run-throughs, student appreciation parties, prep classes for big events, and hopefully some UKI agility trials this year too!

If you have any questions at all about getting started in agility or what we have to offer please feel free to contact Bridget.

Bridget is a fabulous coach to even the most challenging teams. I'm constantly impressed by her patience, clear communication and ability to adapt her style to what each dog and handler needs. The best part is she manages to strike the right balance of challenge and fun. I leave each class feeling like it was time well spent.
