Gearing up to start our third month of, “DogStar’s Small Spaces, Big Ideas – Masters/Advanced Edition, and “DogStar’s Small Spaces, Big Ideas – The “Greenies” Edition! Same format for both. Posts each day, three days of agility skills/setups and the rest are tricks/fitness/games/grids/etc. The ability to ask questions and post videos for feedback as much and as often as you like. Plus, a Zoom meeting each month on a predetermined day/time for questions, troubleshooting, socializing, etc.
“DogStar’s Small Spaces, Big Ideas”. Each day I will be posting cool little exercises that can be done in small spaces, and with not much in the way of equipment. Currently, I own four jumps, weave poles, a tunnel, a travel plank, some cones, and various other “props”. I then have to drag everything about 100’ to the vacant lot behind my house. Then I have to dodge the neighbor kids, dogs, bicyclists, cars, squirrels, etc. But, where there’s a will there’s a way!
Anyhow, I will be putting out some awesome setups with my wee bit of equipment. Three days a week will be agility setups; sequences, and skills and drills, building understanding of skills, and then proofing those skills. We usually work with an agility “theme” for the week and work off of that theme to skill build and proof. The other days will be filled with lots of foundation and skill training in the areas of body awareness and coordination, fitness, tricks for mental and physical stimulation, impulse control, play, building drive, and more! All the stuff I am teaching my own dogs. Things I feel are important for agility today, and can still be done at home and in small backyard setups.
Handling sequences and drills
How to teach and proof agility skills
Body awareness and fitness games and skills
Tricks for mental and physical stimulation
Stays and startlines

Weave pole proofing and skills
2o2o contact proofing
Games to build speed, confidence and drive
And much more!
This course will run via a private Facebook group, and if you are not a FB person, you don’t really have to be. Make an account under your dog’s name and use it only for online classes. I will help you, I promise it’s not that scary!
Each agility day will consist of a video explanation/instruction/demo from me and the dogs, and will include course maps of each setup. I’m even upgrading my video/audio capabilities! You are free to ask questions, start discussion, AND you can post videos of your work for FEEDBACK! You’ll also be receiving some extra tidbits and perks along the way. In each agility setup there will be “Intermediate/Novice/Open” level options as well as “Advanced/Master” options. I will also give substitution ideas if you don’t currently have access to what I am using (four jumps, weaves, travel plank, barrel/cones)
The group will run in one month installments of $45 per month, one month of “instruction” plus one more month of access. That’s just $1.50 a day for daily content, maps, personal feedback, etc. I know there are lots of online options to choose from right now, so I appreciate your consideration. You can visit my YouTube channel, to see some of my training and competition videos. I promise to bring lots of fun and creative ideas to your small space training!
