Courtesy Policies for DogStar Students:
Missed classes: Bridget does NOT guarantee makeups for any missed classes. If there is an opening in another appropriate level class *during* your current session you may attend with permission from Bridget.
Class cancellations due to weather/unforeseen circumstances: If class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances out of Bridget’s control a makeup class will be scheduled on the next available date. If Bridget is unable to schedule a makeup students will be given a credit slip for a free class.
Classes cancelled by Bridget for any other reason: If a student is not able to attend the scheduled makeup date they will be issued either a credit slip for one class or a refund.
Class spots may NOT be sold or traded if you are unable to make a class.
Please do NOT disturb classes/instructor/students/dogs in progress.
Bridget reserves the right to move a student to a different class level if she feels this will benefit the student (or the rest of the class). If the student is not able to make this change a class credit (for the remainder of the session) will be issued.
If a team is excused for any reason not limited to aggression, unsafe handling, not following rules of the facility, disorderly conduct, abuse of animals or people, etc, no refund will be given.
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Private lessons: lessons must be cancelled prior to 48 hours before your scheduled lesson. If adequate notice is not given you will be responsible for the entire cost of the lesson.
Group classes: Full refunds will be given for registrations cancelled within twenty-four hours of registering. Otherwise a class credit will be issued.
Workshops/Seminars: Full refunds will be given for registrations cancelled within forty-eight hours of registering, or If I am able to fill your spot from the waitlist.
Medical reasons: If you are unable to continue with your class session due to a dog/handler medical issue a written request must be received from a doctor/veterinarian. Requests will be reviewed and handled on a case by case basis.
Bitches in season: May attend (wearing panties) with permission of Bridget. Handlers must bring a towel for the dog to use at start lines, etc. Dogs will not be crated inside of the building, or near the ring between runs. Refunds/credits will NOT be issued for bitches in season.
Specific to Branchwater Training Center:
BW is a working farm. There are frequently dogs, cats, people, farm machinery and cows in the driveway. Please drive slowly!
Do not let your dogs potty on man-made things, near the office, whelping shed (at top of hill). Follow the signs for appropriate places to potty.
Please do NOT enter the building until Bridget is ready for your class to enter. It is not fair to disrupt the students in the class before you.
Please do NOT use the fenced grass field unless given permission by the owners of BW.
Please follow all rules as posted around the farm.
Specific to Oriole Dog Training Club:
Crating: NO crating in the front of the building before 5 pm. All crating will be in the back of the building or in your vehicle.
Use ONLY the specified potty area. Anyone letting their dogs use the shrubs or area near the building will be asked to leave.
Barking: Excessive barking in the building or parking area before 5 pm is in violation of the ODTC rules.
Please follow all ODTC rules as listed at the building and on their website.
If you refer a client that signs up for a group class session please let me know and you will receive a ten dollar credit to your next group class session. Credit must be used for the upcoming session of classes.
